Rideshare coverage is an endorsement that fills the coverage gap when you’re driving for Uber, Lyft, or similar platforms. Standard personal policies often exclude commercial use; rideshare endorsements bridge the gap.

Rideshare has three coverage ‘phases.’ Phase 1: app on, no passenger — rideshare platforms provide limited liability; your personal policy may exclude. Phase 2 and 3: passenger en route or in vehicle — platforms provide more coverage. A rideshare endorsement extends your personal policy through phase 1, the most common gap.
