QuoteYeti is an independent insurance research publisher. We work with a network of licensed insurance carriers, agencies, and lead-aggregation partners to connect readers with quotes. This page documents those relationships in full.

How partnerships work

When you request a quote through QuoteYeti, we route your information to one or more licensed insurance carriers or agents who can quote your situation. We are compensated by these partners on a per-lead or per-acquisition basis. The compensation amount varies by vertical, carrier, and consumer profile.

Compensation is paid to QuoteYeti as a publisher — not to individual editors, writers, or anyone involved in producing rankings or reviews.

What partnerships influence

Partner relationships determine which carriers can quote you when you submit a quote request. We work with the carriers in our partner network — we cannot route quote requests to carriers outside the network.

When you see a partner-offers grid on a thank-you page (for example, after submitting an auto quote request), the carriers shown are sponsored placements. This is clearly labeled with an “Advertising disclosure” notice on every grid.

What partnerships do NOT influence

Partner relationships do not influence:

  • Editorial rankings — Our “Best of” rankings are determined by our scoring methodology. A carrier paying us more does not rank higher. A carrier paying us less does not rank lower.
  • Review scores — Star ratings and category scores in our reviews are determined by the editorial team using documented criteria.
  • Editorial conclusions — When we say “Carrier X is our top pick for young drivers,” that conclusion is independent of whether Carrier X is in our partner network.
  • Methodology weights — The factors and weights we use to score carriers are set by editorial and reviewed independently of the partnership team.

If a carrier in our partner network performs poorly in our editorial scoring, we will say so. If a carrier we don’t partner with performs well, we will still rank it highly — even though we earn nothing if you choose them.

Compensation models

We earn compensation through three primary models:

  1. Per-lead compensation — A fixed fee when a consumer submits a complete quote request that meets the partner’s eligibility criteria.
  2. Per-acquisition compensation — A larger fee when a consumer who came through us purchases a policy.
  3. Flat-rate sponsorship — A monthly or quarterly fee for sponsored placement on partner-offer grids (always labeled).

We do not accept compensation in exchange for editorial coverage, rank placement, or favorable reviews.

Why we disclose this

Transparency is a precondition of trust. You should know how a publisher makes money so you can evaluate its content honestly. Our goal is for you to read our reviews knowing exactly where the incentives lie — and to verify, through our published methodology, that the incentives are not driving the editorial output.
