Policy Renewal
When your insurance policy reaches its end date and is extended for another term.
What is policy renewal?
Renewal is when your policy reaches its term end and continues for another period (typically 6 or 12 months). Renewal is automatic in most cases, but rates and terms can change at renewal — and you can switch carriers.

Renewal is the best moment to shop. Rates often change at renewal due to claim history, credit changes, vehicle age, or simple carrier price adjustments. Even if you don’t switch, getting comparison quotes at renewal gives you negotiating leverage. Many carriers offer ‘price-match’ or ‘why I should stay’ adjustments if you mention you’re shopping.
