Collision coverage pays to repair or replace your own vehicle after a crash, regardless of who is at fault. It applies whether you hit another car, a tree, a guardrail, or a parking meter.
Details
Collision is one of two coverages that protect your vehicle (the other being comprehensive). It typically has a deductible you pay before the insurer pays the rest. If you’re financing or leasing, your lender will require collision coverage.
