The Ford GT costs an average of 245 dollars a month, or 2’940 dollars a year, more than double the national average. Depending on how many miles you drive in a year, and other factors, your real cost may be higher or less. Since 2005, the Ford GT has been around and the model has been restructured in 2017. Over 4,000 units were sold in the US during the first generation from 2005 to 2006. “One of the greatest power-to-weight relationships of a production automobile,” was Ford’s intention.
Why is insurance so expensive for the Ford GT?
The Ford GT is more expensive to insure since it has a greater collision rate than other vehicles and is set up for speed. This automobile also comes with high robbery rates that contribute to its expensive costs.
Ford GT insurance rates
In sports vehicles such as GT and Mustang, the costs of insurance often increase because of the high rates of theft and the danger of collisions. But given its high price, the GT can be insured in the same price range only somewhat cheaper than similar models.
A 2017 Ford GT will begin at $450,000 at basic pricing. The yearly cost-to-base automobile price ratio of insurance at an average annual insurance premium of $2,940 is 0.7%. It is significantly more costly to insure than the Mustang, but it is 18 times the price.
